## Getting There & Around
Crieff is easily accessible via the A85, located about 18 miles (29 km) west of Perth and approximately 70 miles (113 km) from Edinburgh. If you're driving from Perth, expect a journey of around 30 minutes. For public transport, regular bus services connect Crieff to Perth; the journey takes about 40 minutes. Once in town, the best way to get around is on foot, as most attractions and amenities are within walking distance of each other. If you fancy a scenic drive, the surrounding countryside is worth exploring, with plenty of quiet lanes and stunning views.

Parking can be a challenge during peak times, especially on weekends in summer. Aim to arrive early if you're visiting popular spots like the Crieff Hydro or the local farmers' market. Free parking is available near the town centre, but spaces fill up quickly.

## What to See & Do
One of the town's highlights is the Crieff Hydro Resort, which features a range of outdoor activities, including horse riding, archery, and a spa. Day passes for non-residents start at £45, allowing access to the swimming pool and fitness facilities. The resort is about a 20-minute walk from the town centre. Another must-see is the Famous Grouse Experience at Glenturret Distillery. Tours run daily at 10:30am, 12:30pm, and 2:30pm, costing £15, with tastings included. Don’t forget to check out the Crieff Visitor Centre, which houses local crafts and a lovely café.

For those who enjoy the outdoors, the nearby Knock Hill provides a moderate hiking trail with panoramic views of the surrounding area. The walk takes about an hour, and the trailhead is easily accessible from the town centre. If you're interested in local history, the Crieff Museum, located on the High Street, features exhibitions on the area's past. Entry is free, and it’s open Tuesdays to Saturdays from 10am to 4pm.

## Where to Eat & Drink
When it comes to dining, Crieff has a variety of options to suit different tastes. The Crieff Food Hub on the High Street offers a selection of local produce and is a great spot for a light lunch. Try their homemade soup of the day and a freshly baked scone for about £6. For a more sit-down meal, head to the Glenturret Distillery’s restaurant for hearty Scottish fare—try the haggis neeps and tatties, which is priced around £15.

If you're looking for a pint, The Crieff Arms on the main street has a relaxed atmosphere and a good selection of local ales. Their fish and chips are popular and cost about £12. Alternatively, for a coffee break, visit Delivino, a wine café that serves excellent coffee and homemade cakes. Their carrot cake is a local favourite, usually priced around £4.

## When to Visit
The weather in Crieff tends to be unpredictable, so packing layers is advisable. Summers (June to August) can see temperatures ranging from 15°C to 20°C, while winters (December to February) hover around 0°C to 5°C. Rain is common throughout the year, so a waterproof jacket is essential, regardless of the season. 

Crieff hosts various events throughout the year, with the Crieff Highland Gathering typically taking place in early September, featuring traditional Scottish games. The town also has a Farmers' Market on the first Saturday of each month, where you can find fresh local produce and artisan goods. If you visit during the festive season, the Christmas Market in December is a highlight, offering local crafts and seasonal treats.
